Passer-by 過路人 (2009)
Passer-By
Everyday we heard a voice from people and hustle life. Everything seems uniformity, but actually changes.
City people need more living space, but space of soul seems that most important. Do we accustom to the people
whose only have self protection and alienation?
I am a Passerby everyday. I observe the scene of the city when photographing, I feel a true taste of life.
Many passengers in the street, looked me curious, suddenly we are irrelevant.
Between cityscape, people and object, I feel there have a distance. Such as a building in afar, a tree in
hailing distance. They both stand far apart facing each other. They appear in front of me at this moment. But when I’m leaving them, the fate only has this moment. It seems like a city people.
Visible objects are not far; rather, emotions in heart are afar.
This series is a response of my sentimental perception interacts by the cityscape. Photography is an experience of beholder; I capture the cityscape with my point of view.
